Sunset Grill

Since March 20, 1985.

Angelo Christou opened a 28 seat, one shift breakfast and lunch spot on Queen Street in the Beaches, Toronto, and named it after the Don Henley hit “Sunset Grill”.

  • 2004The first franchise opens in Mississauga, at Winston Churchill and Eglinton.
  • 2014The 100th franchise is sold and the first Alberta restaurant opens in St. Albert.
  • 2015Ottawa, Lansdowne Park.
  • 2025Las Vegas, Nevada. The first U.S. restaurant.

Are you open on holidays?

Sunset Grill is open every day of the year except for December 25, Christmas Day. Select locations may choose to open on Christmas Day.

Can I make a reservation?

No. Our restaurants operate on a first come, first served basis.

Do you offer takeout and delivery?

Yes. Our entire menu is available for takeout. Place your order in advance by calling the restaurant directly. Participating locations also offer delivery through DoorDash, SkipTheDishes and Uber Eats.

Do you cater?

Yes. We offer catering platters for pick up from your local Sunset Grill.

Why is it called Sunset Grill if you close in the afternoon?

The first restaurant opened in 1985 and was named after the Don Henley hit “Sunset Grill”, a top 10 song on the Billboard charts that year.

Do you do anything for birthdays?

Yes. Let your server know and the special guest will be presented with a complimentary Dessert Pancake.

Can I buy your coffee?

Yes. Our Signature Blend is sold in our restaurants as 1 kg bags of whole beans and as ground coffee tins.

Where are calories listed?

Calories are listed beside every dish on our menu, as the Ontario Healthy Menu Choices Act requires.
