Souq to skyline
From the Deira souq to Sheikh Zayed Road.
In 1958 Abdulsalam AlRafi began trading tea, sugar and rice in the AlRas Deira souq. In 1970 he moved into real estate, reading supply and demand as his guide, and the family has built and cared for Dubai landmarks ever since.
