The AI receptionist that answers Every Wire Electric's phone from inside the panel.
An electrician physically cannot answer the phone mid job, and that is exactly when the next customer calls. We built Every Wire Electric an AI receptionist that picks up whenever the owner cannot, captures exactly what the job is, and texts him the details before the caller has hung up. It even speaks in a voice cloned from the owner himself.

Every Wire Electric is a one operator electrical business in Ventura County. When the owner is wiring a panel, up a ladder, or driving between jobs, the phone used to go to voicemail, and homeowners calling an electrician do not leave voicemails, they call the next name on the list. We set up conditional call forwarding from his existing cell number, so any call he cannot take rolls to an AI receptionist trained on his services and service area. It answers naturally in a clone of his own voice, sorts the caller into the right lane, captures name, number, address, and what the job actually is, and texts the full picture to the owner instantly. No booking promises, no prices quoted, exactly the guardrails a licensed trade needs.
The best marketing in the world cannot answer a phone from inside a service panel.
Electrical work is two handed, focused, and often up a ladder. Every incoming call during a job was a coin flip: interrupt paying work, or let a potential customer hit voicemail. Emergency callers and homeowners with urgent problems do not wait, they dial the next electrician. The business had no office staff and hiring a receptionist for a solo operation made no financial sense.
Key Pain Points
- Phone unanswerable during jobs, which is most of the working day
- Homeowners rarely leave voicemails, they call the next electrician
- Emergency calls are the highest value and the most time sensitive
- No office staff, and a human receptionist is overkill for one operator
- Callers need answers about service area and job types before they commit
Answer only when the owner cannot, capture everything, promise nothing risky.
The design principle was owner first: the phone still rings his cell like always. Only when he is busy, on the line, or unreachable does the call forward to the AI receptionist. And because a trade business lives on accurate quotes, the agent is deliberately capture only: it never quotes prices and never promises a schedule, it gathers the details and hands the owner a ready to act text.
Phase 1: Carrier level forwarding
Conditional call forwarding set up from the owner's existing cell number, so busy, declined, and unreachable calls roll to the AI line with zero change to his number or habits.
Phase 2: Voice and call flow
The receptionist answers in a voice cloned from the owner himself and routes callers through six lanes: service calls, estimates, emergencies, existing jobs, suppliers, and everything else.
Phase 3: Capture and instant handoff
Every call ends with the owner holding a text: who called, from what number, where the job is, and what they need. He calls back between jobs with full context.
Phase 4: Hardening and monitoring
Automated health monitoring on the whole pipeline plus jobsite tuning from real call transcripts, the same monitoring stack our legal clients run on.
What is actually under the hood.
A production voice agent tuned for how people actually call electricians: stressed, mid problem, and short on patience. The voice clone keeps the experience personal for a business built on the owner's name and reputation. Strict guardrails keep the AI out of pricing and scheduling, the two places where a wrong answer costs real money in the trades.
What changed for the business.
The owner works uninterrupted and still catches every caller. Emergency calls get answered on the first ring at any hour, and callbacks happen with full context instead of a missed call notification. The five star review below is the owner's own public words on Google.

Landon Scales did an awesome job setting up an AI receptionist for Every Wire Electric. It answers our calls when we're busy or unable to pick up, so we don't miss potential customers. The whole setup has been extremely helpful and works great. Landon is knowledgeable, dependable, and genuinely cares about making sure everything is set up for success.

What This Campaign Proves
- 1For the trades, the phone problem is physics, not effort: the answer is coverage for the hours your hands are busy
- 2Capture only guardrails matter in licensed work, an AI should gather details, not quote prices or promise schedules
- 3A voice cloned from the owner keeps a one person brand personal even when the owner is not the one answering
- 4Conditional forwarding means zero behavior change: same number, same phone, the AI only exists when needed
What We Learned Along the Way
- Routing lanes should match how customers think (emergency versus estimate), not how the business files paperwork
- Texting the owner beats emailing him, an electrician reads texts between jobs and emails at night
- Real transcripts from jobsite callers drive better tuning than any amount of upfront scripting
